Welcome to Staete Landt in Winter 2010!

Winter is upon us, pruning has started
tying down vines
days are short
frost on the vines early morning 
but the sun shines brightly in a wide blue sky at noon

Time to bottle new wines and
sample the barrels
blend the wines
prepare new labels
pumpkin soup & pies for lunch
and pinot tastings by the fire
snow on the hills the rivers are full and flowing fast
few visitors this time of year
we are catching our breath and
getting ready for the new season

Winter is breathtakingly stunning
on a good day!
