Map Maker Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect example of classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Intensely aromatic with lifted passionfruit, fresh cut grass and citrus grapefruit on the nose. In the mouth exotic flavours such as guave, black currents and elderflower. It has a creamy/limey texture with a lingering mineral finish. Bone dry, crisp and clean with excellent balance and texture.
This elegant style of Chardonnay wine has a bouquet spring flowers. Chardonnay Pure has a great balance between acidity, fruit intensity and minerality. The wine has good texture and attractive citrus flavors, finishing with flinty mineral length. Perfect on a hot summer day as aperitif or paired with shellfish or smoked salmon.
The Map Maker 2014 Pinot Noir has lovely aromas of ripe black cherries and wild violets. In the mouth the wine has a grainy tannin structure and is intensely flavoured with sweet cherries, cedarwood and savoury characters such as dried herbs and wild game flavours. This is a sophisticated Pinot Noir with an ‘old world’ elegance and mineral lingering finish.
Map Maker Pinot Gris expresses great varietal pear and grapefruit character and typical bright Marlborough intensity. This is layered with a subtle hint of spice to provide an extra, more complex dimension to the wine. The refreshing acidity provides balance and a long length to compliment the ripe flavours and rich, smooth mouth feel.
