This consistently impressive, single-vineyard wine is grown in the Rapaura district, hand-picked and fermented with partial use of indigenous yeasts in French oak barriques (20 per cent new). The 2007 vintage spent an unusually long period of 18 months in barrels. Pale straw, it's an elegant, cool-climate style, mouthfilling, with fresh citrus and stone-fruit flavours, balanced toasty oak, good concentration and complexity, and a tight, dry finish. Best drinking mid-2010+.
