

All bar one block of Sauvignon Blanc is hand harvested at Staete Landt. We always pick first thing in the morning, when it is cool and before the heat of the day burns off the intense flavours our wines are renowned for.
Just as we treat each parcel individually in the vineyard, so too do we hand pick each parcel, allowing the winemaking team the opportunity to differentiate between the varying flavour components.
We take the handpicking process one stage further with rigorous hand selection which guarantees only the very best fruit makes it to the winery.
