At Staete Landt we aren’t interested in producing wines that are generic – our goal is to give you a tantalising experience. We love complexity, texture and finesse within the wine and believe each variety has its own individual personality. Our mantra is: Less is More – so we keep intervention to a minimum.

The saying that great wines are made in the vineyard is very true at Staete Landt. We place huge emphasis on clones, rootstock and varieties matching the soil profile of our estate. Once the fruit comes into the winery, each parcel is treated as an individual, ensuring the differing flavour components are retained.

After the wines are finished, we blend the separate parcels back together, creating wines that not only show the true terroir of our land, but are also complex in their nature.
